  • Inexpensive ($625, including all the headsets and extension leads for two helmets, plus another $200 for interfaces, FRS/Audio Splitter and PTT switch, and only 2 hours labor if you have the dealer install it - easy to install yourself for even a novice).
  • For you do-it-yourselfers, Jim Beard has a comprehensive Autocom installation site (including CB) on his K1200LT webpage at: http://www.angelfire.com/ar2/jfbeard/autocom/autocom.htm

Cons:

  • Placement of helmet speakers is ABSOLUTELY critical to get good sound quality

All model intercoms come complete with 2 headset kits to suit full face helmets, optional mini boom mics to suit open face helmets are extra.

All model intercoms can be used on the LT, even the "BASIC" for rider to pillion intercom, (which is only $268 US approx with discount) as all models have a interface for a additioal cable to connect a Walkman, MP3 or CD player.
