Not to belabor the point of the altitude, but watch your tire pressure!
At Santa Fe, I can all the way across the plains from the east coast with no changes in tire pressure worth dealing with. Pressure was checked in Amarillo and was OK. The next morning was in Santa Fe (@7,500 ft., IIRC).
I usually run at the mfr. max as listed on the sidewall. Had 880's on, at the time. @50psi, in Amarillo.
Pressure was at @62psi, in SF!
Had the opposite problem on the return. Was down to @ 38psi the next morning after leaving SF. Made the adjustment, and needed no other changes for weeks.
