I worked with EE's for 15 years as a tech engnr asst.
I know what engineers are like, and I know there is, usually, not an ounce of vitriol in their entire being. They are driven solely by the need to understand and justify the "why" of any situation.
In my times as an auto racer, the tire pressure would only go up 3-4 # from 12-hours-cold to just-came-off-the-track, using compressed N2 for a filler. On a rare day, there could be a 5-6 # difference, but the ambient would have to go into the 90's for that to happen. This all was in Bridgehampton, LI, NY (altitude possibly measured in double digits), and Lime Rock, CT (maybe a few hundred feet up).
